About The Company

Misr Phosphate Company (S.A.E.) was founded in October 2009 under Egyptian Law 159/1981 as the nation's premier state-backed mining enterprise, capitalized by four leading sovereign and energy institutions: National Investment Bank (NIB), Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA), Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), and South Valley Petroleum (GANOPE).

Commanding an annual extraction and processing capacity exceeding 5 Million Metric Tons, Misr Phosphate stewards Egypt's vastest geological reserves across the Abu Tartour Concession (220 km²), the fertile Upper Nile Valley (El Sebaiya), and coastal Red Sea deposits.

Spearheading Egypt's transition from raw mineral exports to high-value industrial manufacturing, the company leads the historic $658 Million Abu Tartour for Phosphoric Acid Complex (AT-Phos) (25% equity) and anchors the Egyptian Marketing Company for Phosphate & Fertilizers (EMPHCO) (20% equity).
